Dominic Williams

As a lifelong LFC supporter and keen runner, when I had the idea of running from Hillsborough to Anfield I had to make it happen. I am really looking forward to running through Liverpool as I know the support there, on the finishing miles of our run, will be second to none.

1) What would be your ideal day? Spending a lazy Sunday with my kids and partner Katy
2) What would be top of your ipod playlist at the moment? Ed Sheeran, Aloe Blacc, red hot chili peppers
3) Who is your favorite LFC player, past and present? Ian Rush past and Stevie G present
4) What do you consider to be must watch TV? Football, Horse racing, Frozen planet and Only fools and horses
5) Name 3 people you would have to dinner and more importantly, why? Lester Piggott because he was the greatest! Dean Karnazes to throw some new ideas my way, amazing ultra marathon runner. John Simpson BBCworld affairs, if it has happened in the last 40yrs, he has been there
6) If you could change one thing in the world, what would you change? I’m working on it

Wesley Young

When I was asked to help out with this great event I felt honoured and immediately accepted.

Supporting Liverpool has been a major part of my life and to be able to help out the Hillsborough groups is a privilege.

Get to know Wesley

1) What would be your ideal day? A nice park run to start me off, bit of scran before watching the match with a few drinks thrown in for good measure. Ends with a beautiful woman!
2) What would be top of your ipod playlist at the moment? Ed Sheeran, Kings of Leon, Stereophonics
3) Who is your favorite LFC player, past and present? John Barnes past & Lucas Leiva presently
4) What do you consider to be must watch TV? Match of the Day (unless we’ve lost!)
5) Name 3 people you would have to dinner and more importantly, why? Shanks, just so I could be in the presence of greatness. John Henry so I could find out what he has planned for our great club. And Paul Rice, the biggest Liverpool fan I’ve known who sadly passed away recently.
6) If you could change one thing in the world, what would you change? I’d make any form of cancer instantly curable

Chris Dale

Since completing a 560 mile charity cycle to raise funds and awareness for bowel cancer I have been seeking a new challenge. This 77 mile run meets my key objectives; to be part of a meaningful cause that will provide a mental and physical challenge.

1) What would be your ideal day? Fun time playing with the kids and their toys. Dinner out with my wife in the city.
2) What would be top of your ipod playlist at the moment?  Upbeat tracks to motivate me on my training sessions. Paolo Nutini
3) Who is your favorite LFC player, past and present? Past – Ian Rush – Present – Gerrard
4) What do you consider to be must watch TV?  Seinfield, The US Office, Peep Show and An Idiot Abroad.
5) Name 3 people you would have to dinner and more importantly, why?  My Wife, Sarah – She is incredible, such great company and makes me laugh more than anyone else I know; My Nana Molly who passed away when I was 15, she was a real character and I would love her to meet Sarah. We would all have a great laugh together I’m sure; One of my best pals, Ric, who passed away earlier this year at age 33 after his battle with bowel cancer.
6) If you could change one thing in the world, what would you change? The imbalance of wealth and the injustice of poverty

Neil Mitchell

I’m a big Liverpool fan, I enjoy running and doing different sporting challenges, so when I heard that Dominic was organising the Hillsborough to Anfield run I had to get involved. It’s important that we keep fighting for justice for the 96 YNWA

Get to know Neil

1) What would be your ideal day? On the Greek island of Skiathos, early morning run around the island, followed by a swim in the sea.
Lazy day relaxing in the sun a quiet beer at about 5pm then a big meal with friends and family at the windmill in Skiathos old town.
2) What would be top of your ipod playlist at the moment?  The Vaccines
3) Who is your favorite LFC player, past and present?  Past player The King Kenneth Mathieson Dalglish and Present player Lucas Leiva
4) What do you consider to be must watch TV?  Something for the weekend
5) Name 3 people you would have to dinner and more importantly, why?  1) Kenny Dalglish – needs no explanation 2) Ric Coggins – one of my best mates who died in May from bowel cancer 3) Tiger Woods – best golfer of my generation, A game of golf at St Andrews first before dinner
6) If you could change one thing in the world, what would you change?  Homelessness

Earle Jackson

I feel it’s both a privilege and an honour to be involved in this run to raise funds for the families and educate those who don’t know the ‘real truth’ as I was at Hillsborough on the day! As a season ticket holder (25 years) and a keen runner (8 marathons to date), to combine 2 of my passions (LFC & running) together is something I’m really looking forward to. Get to know Earle

1) What would be your ideal day? My ideal day would be spending the whole day with my little lad, Ewan, doing whatever he wants, then taking him to watch Liverpool which he is just begining to understand and enjoy when we go.
2) What would be top of your ipod playlist at the moment? Fun Lovin Criminals, Stereophonics, Manic Street Preachers, The Jam,or Merseyside bands like Space, The Farm, 35 Summers, Half Man Half Biscuit etc.
3) Who is your favorite LFC player, past and present? Steve Heighway for past and present would be Steven Gerrard & Jamie Carragher
4) What do you consider to be must watch TV? Boardwalk Empire & An Idiot Abroad now & Auf Weidersehen Pet from the 80′s.
5) Name 3 people you would have to dinner and more importantly, why? Bill Shankly (thank him for turning LFC around), Bob Paisley (thank him for taking over & making us the best team in Europe & England) & Kenny Dalglish (thank him for winning the double & all he, Marina & the players did for the families after Hillsborough).
6) If you could change one thing in the world, what would you change? I would change the laws on newspaper reporting, That would stop all the lies being written, phone hacking, bin rummaging etc!

John Driscoll

I have known Dom a long time and when he asked me to take part I jumped at the chance. It is a great cause and being a lifelong LFC supporter made it very easy for me to say yes.

1) What would be your ideal day? It would bea saturday, get up and have a big fry-up, go and have a game of golf , then down the pub to watch the racing , then watch liverpool v man u 5.30 kickoff then go on a bit of a pub crawl  then home for pizza or chinese
2) What would be top of your ipod playlist at the moment? prodigy(diesel power)
3) Who is your favorite LFC player, past and present? Stevie G .. Robbie Fowler
4) What do you consider to be must watch TV? m.o.t.d
5) Name 3 people you would have to dinner and more importantly, why? John Bishop , Stevie G , Robbie Fowler  , JB’s funny and the other two seem a good laugh
6) If you could change one thing in the world, what would you change? I’d love it if beer and pizza wasn,t fattening .

Jonny Hirst

Dom told me of his idea for this great cause. He invited me to be part of the team and I accepted instantly. Being from Liverpool makes me proud to help those affected by the tragedy of Hillsborough.

Get to know Jonny

1) What would be your ideal day? It would be a hot summers day with the family, Stress free and taking a stroll around Sefton Park Lake, Feeding the ducks, then stopping off by the palm house for a picnic and bringing the day to an end watching my little girl having fun in the playground by Lark Lane….Bliss !
2) What would be top of your ipod playlist at the moment? High Flying Birds, but still can’t get enough of elbow-The Seldom Seen Kid.
3) Who is your favorite LFC player, past and present? King Kenny past and present would be Steven Gerrard!
4) What do you consider to be must watch TV? For me anything associated with Jimmy McGovern, I loved, Accused and The Street.
5) Name 3 people you would have to dinner and more importantly, why? John Lennon – He’s my hero. Jimmy McGovern – I admire the man for sharing his brilliant talent with us and for being a realist. Pete Wylie – For being the most passionate Scouser in Liverpool, next to me.
6) If you could change one thing in the world, what would you change? Liverpool to be the capital of England !

Adam Doherty

As a close friend of Dominic’s and a huge Liverpool FC fan, I had no hesitation in agreeing to be a part of the team that will provide support and assistance during the run. Like any supporter, ” Hillsborough ” had a monumental impact on myself and I wholeheartedly embrace the continuing fight for justice.

1) What would be your ideal day? Spending it with my Son and watching LFC win with my best mate.
2) What would be top of your ipod playlist at the moment? The La’s , The Beatles, Cast and Coldplay
3) Who is your favorite LFC player, past and present? Past – King Kenny and Graeme Souness     Present – Steve Gerrard and Lucas
4) What do you consider to be must watch TV? Entourage , Dexter , Homeland and The Office.
5) Name 3 people you would have to dinner and more importantly, why? Bill Shankly, ( to hear his stories and be in his presence ) John Lennon, ( same as Bill ) My Grandad , because I miss him.
6) If you could change one thing in the world, what would you change? Children being ill and that Roy Hodgson ever managed us!

Amerjit Taggar

I am a lifelong Liverpool fan, and I feel humbled to be part of this event. I am a latecomer to the show but I hope that I can contribute in any way that’s asked of me. I’ve followed Liverpool all around Europe and I feel the colours of this great club like the rest of us. It is an honour to try and help the various Hillsborough groups in raising money and the profile of the true events of that tragic day.

1) What would be your ideal day? Having a lie in, followed by a big breakfast, an afternoon pint or two, and then watching the reds win in the evening

2) What would be top of your ipod playlist at the moment? Early U2 when they were making good music and were relevant.

3) Who is your favorite LFC player, past and present? Can I have 2 past favourites? Dalglish and John Barnes and present its Luis Suarez
4) What do you consider to be must watch TV?  Boardwalk Empire
5) Name 3 people you would have to dinner and more importantly, why?  Martin Luther King – a colossus of a man who actually made a difference,  The Edge (U2 Guitarist) – just to ask how he puts up with Bono, Kenny Dalglish –  Just to be in the presence of royalty

6) If you could change one thing in the world, what would you change? Wipe out the debt to poorer countries given by greedy western leaders to tin pot third world dictators

Julie Spiers

Woolton Physiotherapy Clinic are proud to be supporting this amazing event. We are committed to supporting our local community and this run is a great initiative to keep the focus on helping the families achieve the peace and closure they need for healing.

Mel Patrick

Mel and Julie are volunteering their time and will be supporting the runners to maintain optimum fitness and prompt attention to any injuries.

Kate has a keen interest in sports injuries, providing Physiotherapy for a local rugby club and for marathon runners. She is delighted to help out during this challenge. Kate enjoys keeping fit through regular swimming and Pilates.

Conor Brennan

I’ve been a Liverpool fan for more years than I care to remember and will never forget that awful day in 1989. I moved to the UK after 25 years in the US about 2 years ago and I’m honoured to have been asked to help Dom and the team. I’ve many years of experience in the PR, marketing and media arenas and am happy to volunteer the resources of my company, Porcelain Audio to handle media outreach and planning. YNWA.

1) What would be your ideal day? Recently my weekend consisted of visits to the museum, the cinema and the theater on the Friday, Mark Knopfler and Bob Dylan on the Saturday and Liverpool beating Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge on the Sunday. OK, it was my birthday and I suppose I’ve extended the ‘ideal day’ into three, but that was about as good as it gets.
2) What would be top of your ipod playlist at the moment?  Townes Van Zandt, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Johnny Cash, Johnny Mercer and Beethoven
3) Who is your favorite LFC player, past and present? Jan Molby Kenny Dalglish and Pepe Reina/Steven Gerrard
4) What do you consider to be must watch TV?  1. The Wire 2. The Wire on +1 3. The Wire on Dvd
5) Name 3 people you would have to dinner and more importantly, why?  Humourist Garrison Keillor, American political commentator Rachel Maddow and Nelson Mandela. All three are good listeners and good at the art of conversation with such a wealth of experience and insight, so the evening would be parts fascinating, funny and poignant.
6) If you could change one thing in the world, what would you change? Bullying. Can’t stand it in any form.

Dean Bromley

After hearing of this event through Earle Jackson, I felt compelled to ask to join the team. Hillsborough had such an important part to play in my life and those close to me. I consider offering my services to be the very least that I could do to help raise funds for the families of the Hillsborough Disaster. JFT96.

1) What would be your ideal day? Sunday papers, full English breakfast, long walk, football match, taking pictures of sunsets.
2) What would be top of your ipod playlist at the moment?  Favourite albums in 2011 are by “shoegaze” bands Ringo Deathstarr and Black Ryder.
3) Who is your favorite LFC player, past and present? Past – King Kenny, present – Luis Suarez
4) What do you consider to be must watch TV?  Mongrels – BBC3
5) Name 3 people you would have to dinner and more importantly, why?  The wife – we are both domestically “challenged” , Kenny Dalglish – Just because and Any top fashion model.
6) If you could change one thing in the world, what would you change? The thing I would change would be to have a 5 day weekend,two day working week.
