February 2012

David Fairclough

I am proud to send my best wishes and good luck to Dom and the lads. Its a fantastic effort, but our fans have never been anything else in the support and fight in getting JFT 96. I hope the run goes well and I hope football fans across the country will get behind it and donate what they can in support of such a worthy cause. You’ll never walk …Read More

Here’s to better weather!

Well it looks like the last of the snow has finally gone from the Bolton area! Although I didn’t mind running in the snow, the ice was another matter! Have you ever seen the film Bambi? After a good 16 mile run on Saturday morning, where I swear it was warmer when I set off out just after 7am than it was when I finished around 9.30am, it was off to the …Read More

“Who me, Ref?” (aka Why we care)

And on and on it goes. 23 years without justice, 23 years of no one taking any responsibility, 23 years of the South Yorkshire Police and the powers that be asking indignantly, “who me, ref?” when asked to take responsibility for their actions. 23 years of torture for 96 families on Merseyside, 23 years of outrage for Liverpool fans worldwide. 23 years where those responsible have been given a pass by those …Read More

Exciting times ahead

As a member of the support team work is continuous and when not liaising with the business sector I am in contact with Dominic Williams planning our next event or, I can be found out on the streets putting up our posters and flyers. Recently I attended an event at Heath Hall Social Club in Allerton Liverpool in honour of Liverpool fc legends, Ian St John, Ron Yeats, Ian Callaghan and …Read More

Carling Cup Final Meeting?

Hey guys. Hope everyone is fit and well? Looking forward to some fairer conditions for training, seems like the snow and ice have gone for this week at least! Who from the group is making the trip to Wembley in 2 weeks? I have my ticket, but am still not sure when / how I’m getting down (or back for that matter) but would be good to meet up with …Read More

The week that was

It was a cold and snowy beginning to the week but I managed to haul myself around the streets and local park and got some good mileage in, going a little bit further with each run. I knocked around 8/9 minutes off my5 mile best so was very happy with that. I looked at my watch 3 times to make sure it was working properly. I txt the lads as …Read More

LFC TV Interview and feature

LFC TV joined us when we met up at the beginning of February to interview the running team and help spread the message of what we are trying to achieve. Visits to the site went up 200% with this feature on LFC TV ! we can’t thank them enough for helping us reach more fans and raise awareness of what we are going to do for the 96.

Support gaining momentum

Like everybody else, I would like to say how enjoyable it was to finally meet other members of the team. Dom deserves credit for putting it together, and I’m sure this will reap its rewards come April. It was so humbling to meet members from both Hillsborough groups and great to see Steve Rotheram, all were very supportive and are a credit to the City. Up until then and since, …Read More

The Team

We now have a full team, we are glad to have Wes Young join us as runner support and reserve runner. Wes has many years running experience and is a ready to go replacement should anyone have to pull out for whatever reason. To make up the team we have been very fortunate to retain the services of Woolton physiotherapy clinic’s Mel Patrick (clinic owner) and Julie Spiers. Mel and …Read More
